Hi guys, just to give you an idea of where we are going next week. Remember you took a handout on Thursday - it's about "Tips for Evaluating Sources" -- it will help you decide whether an on-line source is credible or not. Please read it for next week. I am going to have you bring in three articles you got off the Internet and evaluate them for credibility, using that handout as a guide. Then I am going to have you list ten questions (if you haven't already) related to your top three possible topics. You will then think of a way to phrase your EBSCOhost keyword search so you can find answers to those questions. By Thursday you will have at least 3 EBSCOhost articles and 3 Internet articles in class with you. I will then have you do some preliminary research and show you how to keep track of your sources using APA format, and what to include on your note cards. So yes, you will need your two sizes of notecards by next Thursday. It will be a lot of information and I might go too fast sometimes, so please post any questions you may have on the blog. Welcome to the Class!

Hi everybody - you made it to the blog - good! I'd like to use this blog to communicate with each other about the class. Each day I will appoint a class secretary. When it is your turn, please take notes on what we do that day. Keep track of anything that was assigned or is due and anything else you think would be important. Imagine the absent student and think about what they would want to know. And remember, please keep all comments polite and professional.
